Non-Christian Camp Day #3: Forgiveness

Playing Romans versus Christians. The romans had to find bible verse hidden on the Christians

“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”
Matthew 6:14

This day was all about forgiveness and teaching the kids how we should forgive one another even if we are not at fault. No matter how hard it may seem to forgive your neighbor, we as humans need to forgive for it will bring peace and happiness into our life.

All day we taught the kids the importance of forgiveness and how we not knowing Jesus and living in sin, He died on the cross to give us a new life and redeem us from the chains of this world. God showed us abundant amount of love by sending His son to take our burdens and short falls, making us His people.

After lunch, the entire camp played a wonderful and informative game so that the kids can experience slightly how it felt to be persecuted for being Christian. All the kids were Christians trying to get bible verses from one side of camp to the other by hiding it somewhere on their body. The mentors were soldiers trying to catch the Christians and find the bible verse. If the verse was found, the kids had to go back to the station where they started. In the beginning of the game, kids were not creative in hiding the verses but as the game progressed, the kids got really creative and it was hard for soldiers to find the verses.

Before the evening service end, our team performed a song for the entire camp. It was not an ordinary song, turned off the lights, put on our white gloves, turned on the black lights and performed the whole song using only hand gestures. Everyone there have not seemed something like that before and enjoyed the song. The only challenge we had was the fact that here in Moldova it gets dark close to 10pm, so we had to stall and keep entertained until it got dark enough. In the end, it was successful and it worked out.

This concluded our third day.
Tree of forgiveness. The kids wrote who they forgive or who they want to forgive them on a leaf and put it on the tree
