On
Sunday, July 5th, 2013, our missionary group got the wonderful
opportunity to lead a full service at the local church in the town of
Basarabeasca which is 95 kilometers from Kishinev.
We
were planning a regular service that would be lead by the Holy Spirit but God
blessed us more than we thought. From the very beginning and all the way
through, God was working in the service through all the songs, poems and
sermons. Not one person left that service without experiencing something from
God. There was enough spiritual food to feed every soul at the service. It all
seemed as if everything was working in unison, all that was said and sung was
connected in some way. Something that only the Holy Spirit can do.
A
church service would not be a service without prayer. Every time we prayed, the
Holy Spirit would just do its work, making every prayer heartfelt and personal.
People were yearning to have that special connection with God. Towards the end
of the service, God blessed us with His presence and spoke to the congregation
through the Holy Spirit.
Being
in the presence of God, time seems to fly by and that is exactly how it was.
Our service was 3 hours long but it surely did not seem that way. Even if the
service ran longer, people would continue to stay because they were feeding
their soul with God’s spiritual food.
The
evening service was a perfect way to start our stay here in Moldova. The way
that God blessed this service, I truly believe that God will bless our entire
trip abundantly; because we are not relying on our own strength but allowing
God to take control and lead us with everything we will do.
We ask
that you continue to pray for team because we still have a long way to go and many
more works to be done.
