Morning Service at the Emmanuel Church in Baurci

On Sunday July 12, 2015, day before our first kid’s camp, our team visited the local church in the town of Baurci. Like all the services before this, God blessed us once again and we could not be happier. It is true what they say, that Jesus made us brothers and sisters in Gods’ family, because no matter where you are, if you are in the presence of fellow Christians, you feel like you are at home. That is how our group felt during this morning service; everyone was so talkative as if we knew each other.

Our program for this service was the same as the other services but something felt different about this particular. It seemed as if we sang our songs better with more heart, the overall service was wonderful.

During the service, our team was blessed with a word from God through the Holy Spirit, “My word is yes or no says the Lord. My commandment is great. Hold onto eternal life and truth. Carry the torch of faith, for there is a great work that lies before you, my blessings rest upon you because my care is great and my support is great. Strive to serve with truth, glazing upon the author and the finisher of faith, for your works are not in vain says the Lord. Trust, rely and I will carry you to the end. Amen.”

It is so amazing to receive a word from the Lord and see it take place before you, not only with our team but also for those around us. It is comforting to know that if we only rely on God to do His work through us then it will come to completion in ways we least expect it.

Keep praying for us and God bless.

Church Service in Burlāceni

On Friday July 11, 2015, our team was getting ready for kid’s camp here in Baurci so we took advantage of the opportunity and visited a church an hour away in the town of Burlāceni.

We were given the privilege of leading the service and God blessed us like He previously blessed our services. Looking back at all the services we had, none are like the other and it is wonderful. This service stood out because a piano was not available but we still had to stick to the program. We ended up singing our choir songs in acapella format and it was great and interesting for the team.

After the service, the church prepared food and drinks for us and we were able we were able to see familiar face.

Spending Time with the Youth of Moldova at Camp Nehemiah

On Thursday July 9, 2015, our team joined youths from different churches all across Moldova at their annual Camp Nehemiah on the outskirts of Kishinev. We came there after our evening service at the Ark of Salvation church and the team was able to spend time with the youths there and see old friends before it was lights out.

In the morning, we had a prayer service at 8:30am to get us all ready for the day. After prayer we all ate breakfast and at10am be had a church service where our team lead the service with musical numbers.

After lunch, we had free time at camp to socialize with the youth there. Our team even participated in the volleyball tournament they had going. We all had a wonderful time at the camp, it was great to see past friends and make new ones. At night, our team left Camp Nehemiah and began their trip to Baurchi to prepare for the first kid’s camp.

Ark of Salvation Church Service

On Wednesday, July 8, 2015, our team spent the day exploring Kishinev and enjoyed some of the city life in Moldova. We were able to visit a popular park, enjoy some local foods and even visit the mall (which is surprisingly called Malldova, pretty funny). The team had a great time in the city and all being together again.

In the evening, we were blessed with the opportunity to visit a local Russian church called the Ark of Salvation, who’s former Pastor was Mikhail Chizh. We did not know what to expect from the service but we need God was going to not only bless us but the members of that church as well. The day before, on Tuesday, part of our team in Baurchi went to a prayer and there was a word from God to our team; “the group from a distant place, I will bless you and bless those that you will serve.’ Here that word from God got the team fired up and even more eager to serve Him.

From the beginning of the opening prayer to the last prayer, God abundantly blessed the service. God was definitely present in that building and Holy Spirit was doing its work. After the first sermon, God touched hearts and people were praying wholehearted with tears in their eyes and joy in their soul. Every person who left that night service received a blessing from God.

After the service, we were fed and had time to socialize and get to know the youth of that church. Before we left, we had a prayer for one of our team members and during that prayer, God spoke  a word to our team saying “to those that are from far away, keep your ways pure and your heart clean and I will pour out a fountain of blessings into your life and your plans.”

It is wonderful to see and experience what God is already doing with our team and this is only the beginning of our trip. God is teaching us to rely on Him more with each passing day and when we rely on the Lord, our ways are blessed.

Basarabeasca Church Service

Group picture after we were fed. Wonderful people

On Sunday, July 5th, 2013, our missionary group got the wonderful opportunity to lead a full service at the local church in the town of Basarabeasca which is 95 kilometers from Kishinev.

We were planning a regular service that would be lead by the Holy Spirit but God blessed us more than we thought. From the very beginning and all the way through, God was working in the service through all the songs, poems and sermons. Not one person left that service without experiencing something from God. There was enough spiritual food to feed every soul at the service. It all seemed as if everything was working in unison, all that was said and sung was connected in some way. Something that only the Holy Spirit can do.

A church service would not be a service without prayer. Every time we prayed, the Holy Spirit would just do its work, making every prayer heartfelt and personal. People were yearning to have that special connection with God. Towards the end of the service, God blessed us with His presence and spoke to the congregation through the Holy Spirit.

Being in the presence of God, time seems to fly by and that is exactly how it was. Our service was 3 hours long but it surely did not seem that way. Even if the service ran longer, people would continue to stay because they were feeding their soul with God’s spiritual food.

The evening service was a perfect way to start our stay here in Moldova. The way that God blessed this service, I truly believe that God will bless our entire trip abundantly; because we are not relying on our own strength but allowing God to take control and lead us with everything we will do.

We ask that you continue to pray for team because we still have a long way to go and many more works to be done.

WHAT IS NEXT FOR US: Take part in the evening service on July 8, 2015 at Ark of Salvation Church in Kishinev.

With love and adoration,
Team Baurchi

We are finally here………. Beautiful Moldova

Made sure our luggage was there before celebrating our arrival in Kishinev

With many people praying and upholding us spiritually, our team surely felt Gods’ presence from Sacramento, CA all the way to Moldova and everything else in between. The trip began on a bumpy road but it sure ended on an exclamation point. God is so GOOD. We had complications with our flight bookings at first but it was a great test for us to rely on God. Instead of being frustrated or stressed, we gave it up in prayer to God and asked everyone to pray with us. Now we have a wonderful testimony of how God helped our team. Once we got over that hurdle, everything else was smooth sailing. No issues with security checks or customs, even all our bags got to Kishinev same time as us. We appreciate every one that held us in their prayers and we ask that you continue to do so.

Once we got to Kishinev, we were greeted with familiar faces; cousins, friends, loved ones and even our fellow team members who flew out earlier. Overall, it was a blessed trip and we cannot wait to see what God has in stored for us here in Moldova.
WHAT IS NEXT FOR US: Our missionary team will be leading evening service on Sunday, July 5, 2015 in the town of Basarabeasca. Please pray so that the service will be blessed on the presence of Holy Spirit will be there.
